Kyle Warners 2013 Race season - lend a had fund

PLease take the time and read this, WE need to help him to fulfill his dreamd!

PlaseCHICO, CA
About This Page
My Name is Kyle Warner and I am a 20 year old Professional Mountain Bike Racer from Chico, CA. For 2013 I will be competing at every-stop on the North American Enduro Tour " http://naetmtb.com/about.html " This race series will be held at venues all over North America.

This past season was my introduction to Enduro racing and although I was self funded, working full time, and the second youngest Pro in the American Tour. I  finished 15th in the overall ranking for the 2012 season.
This winter I have been invited to move in and train with arguably the fastest Enduro Racer in the world "Mark Weir" at his home in Novato, Ca. Mark has been one of the most dominant mountain bike racers in the world for the past 15 years. He has gotten on the podium of nearly every big race around the world and is hands down the most marketable  and successful mountain bike athlete to date, essentially he is the Michael Jordan of Mountain Bikes. Now at the age of 40 he is staring to transition out of his racing career and into more of an ambassador role. He has extended an amazing opportunity to me, with the offer to live and train under his wing for all of December and January. Being so young I have the potential to be at the forefront of this ever-growing sport for the next ten to fifteen years and I want nothing more than to capitalize on this once in a life time opportunity.

To accomplish my goals and train full time with Mark this winter there are inherit costs that I will generate and that is why I am seeking support. Racing to me, is more than a dream. It is what I live for and I am so close to making it happen. All I need is the financial support to train my butt off and have this one breakout year.I am doing everything in my power to make this happen however if a few people can help me in achieving my goals it would mean the absolute world to me.This season I have Sponsors completely taking care of my Bikes / Gear needed to race and at select few events they will be covering my entry-fees / housing. Below is a general Idea of the expenses I will pay out of pocket getting to and competing in the remainder of the races for next season. The numbers are based on last seasons expenses.

Expenses:Winter/Off Season:.800 dollars for food, gas, living expenses while Training with Mark in Novato

Race Season "April - September":Tentatively 12-14 races

Gas money: 700 dollars
Food: 500 dollars
Hotels: 600-800 dollars
Entry Fees: 400 dollars

Total Expenses For The Year: 3200 dollars

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Sincerely, Kyle Warner

MBO- Chico Crew

A great video put together by my friend Steve . He was lucky enough to travel to one of the sweetest places to ride in the country. This event is held every year and sells out quickly.

Here's just a snapshot of the goodness that MBO has to offer.

New Light! Gloworm

I have a new light thanks to the team at Gloworm lights! glowormlites

I have to say I was impressed with the entire package as soon as I opened it. Comes with a extra cord for the helmet, a bar or helmet mount, nice travel case , instructions, all the mounts( Rubber bands and velcro).
The light has a corded remote also... Nice touch.
The light head is nice and small, great for the helmet.
The battery is enclosed in a plastic case to keep to safe from the elements, It also has a fuel gauge on the end. Sweet!  No more wondering how much time you have left on the battery. I should mention that the battery is made by panasonic.

Progamable.. Yes!
This light has a claimed 1200 Lumens on high.
Mountain biking you have the following settings, Dim 100 Lumen, Low 300, High 900 and what they call boost 1200 Lumens!
For the commuter : you have flash 700 lumen low 300, High 700 and Boost 1000

I will post a ride report soon as I get on the trail.... I hope will be very soon.

Helmets are good

Last night I had a Mountain bike crash.

We were riding a night ride and I went down a ravine on my way back up,
I had too much weight over my bars and in an instant I was on my head . Didn't even remember putting my hands out ,but I have the cuts on the bottom of my hands to prove it
I cut my left knee in two spots really good , broke my helmet( Lava rock is hard) . The helmet saved me from a lot worse head injuries.
My riding Buddy's Dan, Ben and Dan did some on the trail work on me and wrapped the leg.  I rode back down the trail and finally made it back to my car.

I heading down to the ER  where the cleaned me up,put stitches  into my leg and CT scanned my neck and head. Again I owe my lack of head injuries to having a helmet on.

Today, I'm sore some stitches in my leg, but no broken bones, No concussion .I know my head injuries would have been a lot worse if I would have not had a properly fitted helmet on.

The picture is where my head struck the patch of lava rock on the trail. As you can see the helmet took a lot of the force and did what it was designed to do.

Thank you Giro Helmet for saving my butt!
